1. The service
FinToolbox is a website that provides free trading-related calculators, market widgets and educational content, plus an optional Premium subscription (e.g. Trading Journal). FinToolbox is operated from Austria; see Impressum for the operator.
2. No financial advice
All content, tools, simulations, briefings and indicators on FinToolbox are for general information and educational purposes only. They do not constitute financial, investment, tax or legal advice and must not be relied upon as the sole basis for any trading or investment decision. Markets carry substantial risk of loss — you trade at your own risk. Always do your own research and consult a licensed professional where appropriate.
3. Eligibility & account
You must be at least 18 years old to use Premium features. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity on your account. Provide accurate information and update it when it changes.
4. Premium subscription
- Billing cycle: Premium is billed monthly via Stripe, in advance, until you cancel.
- Cancellation: You may cancel at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then.
- Free trial: A free trial (where offered) ends automatically — your card is charged at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends.
- Price changes: We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice before the next renewal. You can cancel before the change takes effect.
- No refunds on digital subscriptions: By starting your subscription you expressly consent to immediate access to the digital service and acknowledge that this waives your statutory right of withdrawal under Austrian/EU consumer law (§ 18 Abs 1 Z 11 FAGG). See the Refund Policy for details.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape or republish content at scale, or build a competing service from FinToolbox data;
- attempt to bypass paywalls, rate limits or authentication;
- upload malicious content or interfere with the site's operation;
- use the service for anything illegal in your jurisdiction.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
6. Third-party data & services
Market data is sourced from third parties (e.g. CoinGecko, Alternative.me, GoPlus, CryptoPanic). We make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of any data. Payments are processed by Stripe; auth and storage by Supabase; hosting by Cloudflare. Their terms apply to the data they process — see our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual property
FinToolbox, its design, code and content are protected by copyright. You may view and use the free tools for personal trading research. You may not copy, resell or sublicense the service without our written permission.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or accurate.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FinToolbox and its operator are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages — including but not limited to trading losses, lost profits, lost data or opportunity costs — arising from your use of the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded (e.g. for intent or gross negligence), our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for Premium in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest version. Material changes will be announced via the site or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law & venue
These terms are governed by Austrian law, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). For consumers resident in Austria or the EU, mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence remain unaffected. The competent court for non-consumer disputes is Vienna, Austria.
